Trial Summary

Delphy, a world-leading independent horticultural research organisation, evaluated Overture® A under commercial-style cucumber production conditions in the Netherlands. Dee Viate cucumbers were propagated in-house then grown in an umbrella production system on rockwool

Overture® A was applied at sowing then every four weeks using manual irrigation. Untreated plants were grown next to treated plants, with multiple replicates. The impact of Overture® A was assessed by comparing cumulative yield (kg/m²) and total fruit number.

"These are promising results. An increase in number of fruits of +4.8% in commercial conditions would be beneficial for growers.”

Conclusions

Overture® A increased total marketable yield by +6.8%, with fruit number up +4.8% compared with untreated plants grown alongside. The yield advantage held throughout the trial rather than appearing only in a single flush. Treated plants also developed +22.4% thicker stems when measured 20 days after propagation, indicating improved plant vigour.
